The Focus is a compact sized car produced by Ford Motor Company. Introduced in 1999 as a 2000 model, it was basically a replacement performance vehicle for the Escort and Mercury Tracer. The first generation, 2000 to 2007, were available in a 3 door (ZX3) and 5 door (ZX5) hatch back, or a 4 door (ZX4) sedan. In 2002 they released a 5 door (ZXW) station wagon. The second generation, 2008 to present, is offered in either a 4 door sedan or a 2 door coupe while hatch back and station wagon versions have been dropped from production entirely.

The Focus has always been a performance vehicle. Not just performance, but performance while being fuel conscientious. Especially after the release of the SVT (Special Vehicle Team) model in 2001. This model featured a reworked performance version of the 2.0L Zetec engine boosting performance of the Focus from 130hp to 170hp while still achieving good fuel economy and low emissions.

But performance and gas consumption aren't the only reason to have a Focus. Reliability is a Focus standard. Just ask "Consumers Digest" who gave Focus their "Best Buy Rating" award. This award is based on reliability, recall history, fuel economy, performance and other useful factors to choose the vehicle best suited to spend your money on.
